Do I have to write everything myself?
Not at all. You can let AI do as much or as little as you want. Ollie interviews you, follows the thread, and shapes your memories into a draft — or you can type it all yourself.
Does it have to be an autobiography?
Not at all. This is your creation — tell your own life story, or any story you want. You set the tone, the mood, and the genre, and Retellery brings it to life your way.
How private is my story?
Private by design. Everything lands in one private vault and stays yours. A person you ask to keep private is never named in any output, and nothing is shared until you choose to share it.
What formats can my story become?
Today the same memories can become an illustrated book, a comic, or a prose book. Audiobook and short film are built but not open yet — we'll turn them on once they're right.
Can I change names or hide people?
Yes. Rename, generalize, or hide people for a version you can share more widely — the same memories, just told differently. The underlying truth never changes, and it's fully reversible.
Who owns my story?
You do. Your memories are yours, and nothing is ever made or shared without your approval.
Can I give my story as a gift?
Absolutely — that's the heart of it. When your story is just right, send it as a private link, or invite people to your bookshelf — they don't need an account to read it. You can also download a print-ready book file to keep. (Ordering a printed, posted copy is coming.)
